WELCOME TO THE CHAMBER FOR NATIONAL FAMILY THERAPY ASSOCIATIONS (EFTA-NFTO)

We are one of the three chambers of EFTA, the two others being the Chamber for Individual
members (EFTA-CIM) and the Training Institutes Chamber (EFTA-TIC).
NFTO is the community of associations of family therapy and systemic practice in Europe
with 30 members at the moment, one from each country.
It is typical for NFTO to be a vibrant, communicative and exchanging fellowship. We seek
insight, understanding and inspiration from other countries’ experiences, and together we
want to strengthen the ideas and practices of systemic perspectives throughout Europe.
To build relations, form connections and be involved in collaboration around research, theory
and practice is central, as well as inspiring each other to work for both formal and informal
recognition of systemic practice and family therapy.
Our activities include one Chamber Meeting per year in different hosting countries of Europe,
online Chamber Meetings, newsletters, a WhatsApp «NFTO Connections» forum for a variety
of inspiring sharings and exchanges, Facebook site, and of course participation in the activites
of EFTA General. These include the EFTA Congress every 3. year, online EFTA
Conversations introducing interesting speakers or interviews, EFTA Research Cafés and the
Social Justice Task Force.
We hope to see you at events and hear from you any time, as curiosity, inclusion and openness
are driving values for our work and for our organisation.

Hans Christian
